PUUILO PLC, PRESS RELEASE, 26 JANUARY 2026 at 7.30 a.m.

Puuilo continues its growth and will open a new store in autumn 2026 in Raasepori, in the Karjaa Leppi area. The approximately 3,000 m² store will be located in a central spot next to K-Rauta Karjaa and ABC station, at the intersection of two main roads. Rusta will also open a store in the same building. The store will employ 13–14 people when it opens, and recruitment will begin during summer 2026.

Currently, the nearest Puuilo store is in Lohja, but according to Puuilo’s CEO Juha Saarela, Raasepori holds significant potential: “Raasepori is a natural location for our expansion. The area has many detached-house residents and cottage owners, for whom Puuilo’s assortment is an excellent fit. As a local centre, Karjaa serves as a regional service hub, and the new store will be easily accessible at the junction of two main roads.”

Puuilo’s growth continues in line with its strategy. The company has announced that during the financial year 2026 it will open stores in Hollola, Espoo Espoonlahti, Jyväskylä Vaajakoski, Lahti Holma, and Kangasala, as well as a new store in Ylivieska in 2027. Additional store openings will be announced later.
